About This Book
Rev. William E. Wiatt was born in 1826 in Gloucester County, Virginia, to Dr. William Graham and Louisa Stubbs Wiatt. He married in 1846 to Catherine Rebecca Spencer. The following year he received a lay license to preach. His wife died in 1849 and in 1852 he married Charlotte Laura Coleman. He enlisted in the 26th Virginia Infantry in 1861 and was appointed its chaplain soon thereafter. His second wife died in 1864 and he remarried in 1871 to Nannie B. Heywood. He died in 1918.
