About This Book
*Adolf Hitler in Oz* is a comic fantasy satire. Hitler is magically transported to Oz (as depicted in L. Frank Baum's later Oz books), makes himself Reichschancellor of Oogaboo, and attempts to conquer all Oz. He is defeated. The novel's dominant theme is that evil (represented by Hitler) will always lose in a combat with good (represented by the Land of Oz). In addition, the novel comments on political structure (arranging things so that risk and safety are balanced) and economic incentives (money is unnecessary as an incentive because work is inherently satisfying). In the end Hitler's jailer begins his reformation using the psychology of Carl Rogers; Hitler is on the way to becoming a person.
