The examples discussed here correspond to the blossoming of this style during the Postclassic period in present-day State of Oaxaca. With precise data, resulting from rigurous studies and the use of the latest technology, the authors show the damage caused to archaeological materials by looting, trafficking, and collecting, as well as the complex and sometimes twisted road for the recovery of the patrimony removed from its original territory.
