About This Book

The second book of Claudio Bertoni (b. Chile) of over one hundred images created by him. Since the eighties, with a pin, Claudio Bertoni began intervening slides of some of his photographs. Operation returns this year by replacing the pin with a needle bag. In this proposal, the figures-women, dogs, trees, yield and transformed into compositions: the photographic material is reused as a support, similar to a material, available for work on colors, shapes and structures. Bertoni's artwork has gone through resources of different origin: writing, photography, object art, collage, installation and other practices resistant to categorization. Indeed, these tears (desgarraduras) are part of the latter group, visual link with his watercolors and collages.
