La cueca sola

This book contains a collection of testimonies --the voices of widows, sisters and daughters of the thousands of men taken from their homes, never to return, under the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. Since that time, Chilean women have danced the country's traditional courtship dance alone, and 'La Cueca Sola' has become a symbol of women's struggle against the dictatorship.
