Brazilian Singers

Spanning from the 1980’s to present day, Eloisa Aquino delves into the largely queer Brazilian female pop singer population. Eloisa details each artist’s public queer identity accompanied by a portrait illustration of the artist. She highlights seven singers: Angela Ro Ro, Marina Lima, Laura Finocchiaro, Vange Leonel, Cássia Eller, Adriana Calcanhotto, and Mart'nália. The artists range in their use of labels, queer pride, activism, and coming out story.
