How did the extensive cultural exchange that took place between the Old and New Worlds in the sixteenth century affect the artistic practice and discussions of art at that time? With contributions from distinguished Renaissance art historians, this volume reevaluates the Eurocentrism of Italian Renaissance art history, by envisioning how the history of Renaissance art would look if cultural interaction and the conditions of reception were to become the primary focus.
