Storm Clouds Over Party Shoes is a spoof on the choking rules of "good breeding" and an expose of the dubious business of self-improvement for girls. Retro images and the doctrine of etiquette books from the 1930s, '40s and '50s are integrated as Sheila Norgate takes us on a hilarious nostalgia trip, upending the rules which - to this day - have the girls doing the makeovers while the boys do the takeovers.
