About This Book

The author documents the legacy of the architect Luis Caravati (Italy 1820-1900) who transformed the city: "With a "sober classicism" or an Italianate style, Caravati made school in our city, forming disciples who continued his work until the 20th century. They are the "alarifes" that give a new image to the city founded by Fernando de Mendoza and Mate de Luna in 1683." The book was published within the celebrations of birth centenary of the architect that was the author of the "Image of the Republican landscape" in the capital city of Catamarca.
