Modern mathematics, briefer course

This book contains lots of story problems and practical everyday mathematical concepts that are presented in such a manner as to trigger the child's natural inquisitiveness to think and to learn how the sciene of mathematics affects our everyday life. Since this book covers basic math and geometry and algebra concepts it is a book that could be done as the only math book you do for Junior High/High School, unless there is a need for advanced geometry, trigonometry, calculus and so forth. I am a homeschool mom and I'm into the concept of "a few things covering a lot of bases", so when a friend gave me this book I naturally gravitated toward it.
