About This Book

The rare first Italian translation of the Scottish horticulturalist William Forsyth's classic treatise on arboricultue entitled: Observations on the diseases, defects, and injuries in all kinds of fruit and forest trees (1791). The work ran through seven English editions and was reprinted in Florence in 1797. This is the only translation prepared by the enlightened cleric Marco Fassadoni (1732-1813), who taught agriculture at the Accademia Agraria in Treviso.
