Brasilianische Volkskunst

"This collection of Brazilian folk art, one of the finest extant, was displayed at the 46th Frankfurt Book Fair, 1994. All the pieces exhibited are described and reproduced here. The focus is on baked clay figurines and wood carved pieces, some with color and some b/w. The works are from several states, primarily in the Northeast, and cover the principal themes: daily life, occupations, leisure, folklore, religion, dancing, and music.
