Privatization database

This site provides information on more than 9,000 transactions in developing countries from 1988 to 2003. The data was originally compiled for the paper "Privatization: Trends and Recent Developments." The site was created in response to growing demand for updated and consolidated information on privatization transactions in developing countries. Prior to this effort the most comprehensive information could be found on the World Bank's Privatization Transactions database, which only covered the years 1990 through 1999. This data represents the best efforts of a research team, and should not be seen as fully comprehensive resource. Some transactions have inevitably been missed.
