Phonetic elements and perception of nasality

This investigation was designed to study the effect of selected vowels and consonant environments on the perception of nasal voice quality. The rather extensive literature on the subject of nasality deals primarily with its physiological and acoustical aspects. A lesser part is concerned with its perceptual aspects.
