Moonblack

The experimental filmmaker Aldo Tambellini used techniques such as painting directly on film and re-photographing black and white video images to create this abstract trip to the moon. The film's sound track employs radio conversations recorded between American astronauts and their flight control center in Houston, Texas and the impression of space flight is heightened by the continuous roar of the rocket engine in the background as the spacecraft is propelled into the cosmos.
