The prisoner of Ornith Farm

Ornith Farm is the name given to a place in Westchester County, New York, where Hope Carmichael is taken by the man who finds her at sea, adrift in a dory. This man has twice before crossed Hope's path. While she is allowed the freedom of the grounds, two plots to escape are frustrated, and just as her abductor makes plans to compel her to marry him, she succeeds in getting words to her friends.
