Conference papers comprising unpublished work of researchers brought together that represent an important contribution to the review of the approaches on the artistic production linked to the academies of fine arts, as institutionalized production and places for the dissemination of art, focusing on the artistic education, historiography of art and the history of the collections, confirming the importance of museums as places of memory and knowledge production. Aimed at a better understand the constitutive collections of the academies/schools both from a social point of view (donations, collectors, curators, etc.), as well as the pedagogic perspective that was considered relevant and important to the formation of the artist or for the education of the public eye. "Most of the conferences and communications were to be printed in a book, totaling 22 articles, except one, present in this publication. The oral presentations formed the electronic proceedings, being published the articles received until the pre-set deadlines. We provided the electronic means of the original French text of Monica Preti, particularly the annexes, which could not be published in the printed version." (Our translation) --Page 6.
