Since her mother's death, eleven-year-old Kyleah has been in a Kansas foster home, wishing to be pretty enough that when she finds her father and twin brother one day they will want her to stay, but her troubles begin when misunderstandings send her on the road with foster brother Ben, heading for his home in Moosejaw, Canada.
