About This Book

3 poems by the novelist Charles Haldeman, published posthumously by Five Seasons Press in 1984, with an introduction by Peter Levi. Levi writes: "The vivid lightning that flashed here and there in his (Haldeman's) mind was something he could never put to sleep." These poems use language to throw light on a world half perceived, as if lit by a lightning flash or by moonlight on a clear summer's night. A small book, retrieved from the darkness, capturing a moment in time that will never return, as the author was well aware, before his untimely death in Athens 1983.
