Misfit Lil cheats the hangrope

Misfit Lil was riding for a fall. She'd chosen to intervene in the fortunes of a wagon train of emigrants, incompetently led by erstwhile outlaw, Luke Reiner, their guide. Lil's first mistake was to save a bunch of children when the wagons were caught in a blizzard, then to enlist Jackson Farraday's assistance. This only resulted in a bloody fight with Reiner. Lil's interventions have serious consequences when Jackson is accused of murder. Can she save him from hanging?
