About This Book

The edition in the Library of Congress is little more than a typed list of descendants containing the name, birth, death and spouse--not all names have all this information) from Michael Gold born about 1580 in Botenwald, Moravia through about 1860. More depth is available for the Gold-Meyers branch of the family, including a history of the Gold-Meyers Reunion Association and its bylaws. There is some historical narrative, largely duplicative of that found in The Gold Family History: Eleven Generations from Moravia to Pennsylvania, by Dr. O. David Gold. There is a sleeve on the inside back cover in which a couple of type-written pages of additions and corrections are placed. These additions are not exhaustive
