Small library cataloging

This book was primarily written for all who find themselves in charge of a small library without having had the benefit of formal instruction in library cataloging. The book attempts to simplify cataloging in small libraries, but it offers no facile oversimplifications. It does not insult the dedicated layperson's intelligence by pretending that cataloging is easy. -- Foreword to second edition
