About This Book
Three artistic expressions from France presented in MAMBO. The main protagonist of this exhibition is the concept of 'Territory' observed through photography, video and collective creations. 'Agora(s)' is a video installation by Nicholas Clauss (France 1968) inspired in the Greek word for plaza, presented in five 4-meter screens, with more than 250 random sequences of 3 seconds each of various public spaces filmed in a dozen locations around the world. The section titled 'France(s) territoire liquide' (France(s) liquid territory) corresponds to the independent collective founded in 2011 by 4 photographers passionate about landscape: Je ro me Bre zillon, Fred Delangle, Ce dric Delsaux and Patrick Messina. During the last three years, more than fifty photographers have freely create a new vision of the French territory. The result is this exhibition in which 43 photographers exhibit their work for the first time. Also, in 2016, the Alliance Franc ʹaise de Bogota invited five photographers graduated from the Escuela Nacional Superior de Fotografi a de Arles to carry out an artistic work around the theme of the territory in a two-month residence. The participating artists present in this exhibition includes three Colombian artists, Laura Maria Quin onez, Andre s Donadio and Hilda Caicedo, y two French artists, Leslie Moquin and Emilie Saubestre.
