Distinguished amateur sleuth Dr Westlake has just packed his daughter off to camp and is looking forward to a pleasant and peaceful summer. Suddenly, he find himself deeply involved in a death that may have been triggered by a séance, and one which the local police don’t seem to be eager to investigate.
