Journal of the Senate of Georgia and includes a letter from Joseph E. Brown, Governor of Georgia, concerning issues to be adressed by the body which were Confederate relations, blockade running, financial condition, Western & Atlantic Railroad, tax on banks, tax on cotton, inequality of tax returns, military appropriation, relief of soldiers' families, clothing fund, purchase of provisions, the exiles driven out by the enemy, Georgia Hospital and Relief Association, school fund, deserters and stragglers from the army, robber bands of deserters and straggling cavalry, rank of the Quartermaster and Commissary General, Georgia Military Institute, state line, the Militia, convention of governors. The Senate also dealt with a variety of other governmental business.
