The Coordinación de Investigación, Difusión y Catalogación de Colecciones (CIDyCC, Coordination of Research, Dissemination and Cataloguing of Collections) presents the result of a series of museological reflections emanating from its continuous work in favor of accessibility to the collections of former Academia de San Carlos. From 2015 to 2018 ten exhibitions have been presented in the old galleries of the enclosure around its different collections: numismatics, drawing, print, photography and sculpture. These exhibitions have proven to be an important means of communicating research results and contribute to raising awareness and creating commitments for the conservation of more than 70 thousand heritage assets. In this publication converge the different points of view and stages of production of an exhibition. From the optimal chalcographic register of artistic works, through their inclusion in curatorial discourses, to the museographic exercise; The publication becomes a manual and guide for those interested in the world of museums
