Chocolate drops from the South

This book is pure racism. It purports to be a book about "Negro Philosophy", but in fact is a collection of racist jokes by the appropriately named author, Edmund V. White. White was the Dean of the College of Education at the College of Industrial Arts, (now TWU) in Denton, Texas. Every single vignette or joke in the book re-enforces every racial stereotype used to describe African-Americans in the Jim Crow south.
He is also the author of two other racist books, *Senegambian Sizzles* and *Let's Laugh*.
