A few lessons from Twilight Rise

Consists of sixteen chapters from a larger work concerning the author's experiences at a English Secondary Modern school, product of the notorious Eleven Plus selection system, in the early 1960s. Here the sixties were already 'swinging' in quite another sense from the 'hip' one, with teachers wielding canes, plimsolls and blackboard rulers.
