The Table of Contents includes these five categories: List of Maps; Alphabetical Index of Maps, Chief Countries, etc.; Statistical Tables; Maps; and Pronouncing Index of Geographical Names with a key to pronunciation and a list of contractions. Some of the maps are in color. The Statistical Tables include statistics of countries: area, population, exports and imports, and distances of major cities to each other with mileage and travel time in days. Includes separate tables for statistics of the British Empire and territories of the Chief Colonial Powers. Also included: a list of Great Geographical Discoveries; diagrams of the Earth and nearer planets; time chart of the world; prevailing winds; ocean currents; cultivation; climate zones; rainfall; population density; and an orthographical map of the world with comparative heights and depths of continents and oceans.
