Hamilton and Jefferson on democracy

Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson are taken out of time and place to react to various crisis in American history. We find that the main points of controversy between them are still unresolved; how strong should the federal government be; should the Constitution be interpreted loosely or strictly; what kind of relationship should exist between government and business? The program shows the intellectual currents that helped shape and are still shaping the United States.
