August Lindbergh (1808-1893) was born Ola Månsson in Sweden. He married Inger Jonsdotter between 1833 and 1835. They had ten children. He immigrated to the United States with his second wife, Louisa, in 1859, settling in Minnesota and changing his name. He and Louisa had seven children. Their son Charles became a congressman and was the father of famed aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr.
