Under the categories of analysis, assessment guidelines and criteria for interpretation, the text presents an analytical and graphical evolution, components and patterns characteristic of the architecture produced in Cali as an expression of the sociability of each historical period: colonial, republican, transition to modernity and modern. In the methodological understanding of the project, the book sets standards and criteria for analyzing the different aspects involved in the definition of works and focuses on the period 1960-2008, to determine the values of which has been regarded as the best Cali architecture in the National Biennial of Architecture in Colombia. The study's findings show the persistence of some aspects and the importance of recognition for the approach of the architectural project.
