Platinum Canary

A new Deets Shanahan investigation - Lianna is pregnant and missing. The police discover that her fiancé was the beneficiary of a new insurance policy, that they had quarrelled and that the baby wasn't his. The police have their man but Shanahan agrees to work for him. Then her car turns up at the airport: Lianna had boarded a jet for San Francisco. The trail leads to an exotic dancer and some particularly high-tech hanky panky.
