About This Book
Khari Jackson and Malcolm Shanks open their workshop zine with a statement of intention that says "i (khari) want everyone to rise above colonial understandings of gender" and "i (malcolm) want us to make contact with our ancestors." Khari and Malcolm explore the effects of imperialism on gender with black and white comics that share the history and news excerpts. Additionally, there are exercises that a group of people can participate in to explore their individual relationship to gender and reflect on past experiences. –Grace Li
