La giustizia cosmica

This study of Solon's reforms looks at the way in which Solon merged politics, religion, mythology, philosophy, sociology, ethics, and economy to create one of the greatest "revolutions" of ancient history: the creation of the concept of the "politician" as a mediator between "public" and "private," a human application of the abstract and sacred idea of an absolute justice. From this is developed a new vision of citizenship that establishes a link between human will and universal destiny, between the values of the polis and the structure of the kosmos.
