About This Book
Through the first person account of a teenage girl, an eyewitness to the bombing of La Moneda on September 11, 1973, we can understand how the violence of social and political breakdown in the country also affected her younger population. "El 11, un día en mi memoria" goes into the various emotions and fears that a girl experiences the day the military coup is triggered. By mixing different illustrative techniques -which reinforce the impressionism of the story- Valentina Opazo offers us a less approached perspective of the facts: that of a girl at the epicenter of our recent history.
