About This Book

There seemed to be an infinitive number of subjects and historical periods that could be the focus of such a presentation, but we decided to concentrate on two in particular: the works of the photographer Antoine Sevruguin and the painter André Sevruguin, and the history of the family, whose members were at home in East and West alike and whoe, in their artistic work, documented socio-political and historical conditions, as well as providing insights into Persian mythology. As collector and cusodian of these works, and as a descendant of their creators, the son and grandson of the two artists, Emanuel Sevrugian, comments on the history of his Armenian family and that of his people.
