The Haunted Light

This is the most thrilling story of Derry Lighthouse of the rocky coast of Cornwall, which is reputed of be haunted. Two lightkeepers have already met their death in a mysterious manner, and another is mad. The neighbourhood is charged with fear and superstition.

Sam Higgins, a Cockney, garrulous, cheerful and courageous, is sent to Derry as emergency lightkeeper, where, after many adventures, he and certain others succeed in revealing the machinations of a master croock. There is something reminiscent of Herbert Jenkin's immortal Blinde about Sam, and he will go straight to reader's heart.
