The book tells the inspiring story of over 1400 Maori, Samoan,Tongan, Fijian, and Hawaiians' who volunteered as labor missionaries to built schools in Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand, and Hawaii, as well 140 chapels, and 2 temples in the Pacific area including Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Hawaii, New Zealand, Samoa, and Tonga. Over 120 couples from the USA were called as labor missionaries to help supervise and teach English and building trades to young Latter Day Saint volunteers. The labor missionaries built the Church College in New Zealand, the Church College in Hawaii, the Hamilton New Zealand Temple and the Temple in Hawaii. The book tells of the faith, sacrifices and dedication of the volunteer labors and their families. Many first hand accounts of the volunteers and their families are provided through out the book.
