The California licensing of a certificated Personnel Law of 1961

The purpose of this study was to investigate the social and political influences which contributed toward the formulation of a new licensure system for teachers in California. Primary emphasis was directed toward detailing the series of events leading to the credentialing law's enactment, with special attenion given to the legislative phase of the problem.
