About This Book

As it happens with biographies, the story is ordered chronologically: it begins with the hard childhood of an indigenous girl who grows up in the thick of a small country house, in the midst of a large family, but not without demands for work, obedience and collaboration. Starting high school at age 19, studying law and becoming a Doctor in Jurisprudence, attaining a masters degree in flacso, that is, the indispensable steps of academic training combined with those of leadership fill a life of merits. As she confesses, her links with the public sector began in Rodrigo Borja's government as a promotora zonal de guarderías in his province, she never left the communes or organizations, and both Conaie and MICC enjoyed her diligent work. She responded in favor of the beginning of the current government, but it is remarkable its rupture and its contradictory position that took it to the opposition and that would explain grievances and threats.
