"Genevieve Naylor was the first woman to have an exhibition of her photographs at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMa), in January of 1943, entitled "Faces and Places in Brazil". She also was the first photographer to produce an extensive work in Brazil, though still scarcely known by the general public. This book aims to fill this gap with the publication of her Brazilian photographic production, along with a richly illustrated biographical text. ".
