Eight primarily technical papers sharing methodological proposals for evaluation and stabilization of different types of materials-historic and modern mortar, metal, ceramic, and pre-Hispanic stucco and pigment, all featured prominently in Mexico's historic heritage. Topics include effects of organic and non-organic additions on mechanical properties of lime-based mortar; alternatives to mitigating structural damage in cannonballs through surface treatment; non-destructive techniques for studying stone archaeological artifacts; and others.
