Gentlemen and Rascals

This book describes the early U.S. Army as a military system, and it is not a combat narrative, although it does cite some battles as examples of different practices. It consists of a preface, contents, list of tables and illustration, a text comprising four chapters, notes, a bibliography, an appendix with the articles of war, 1806, and certain legislation modifying them.
