The book begins with Part II, because Part I, which is about the physical universe, focuses on wave theory and the China Press advised the author not to begin with it as people would become discouraged. Part II, with which the book begins, "are a reaction of myself towards the social environment of which I am a part". Despite the disparate sections, the book relates the harmonics of wave theory with the effect of the harmonics on the individual.
