After stumbling upon a corpse in the hospital record room, a mental patient calling himself Roy Rogers launches a personal investigation into a crime that could have ties to the twenty-year-old murder of Marcia Weinhart, whose mutilated body turned up on the altar of a Catholic church, joining forces with his friend Harry and Harry's dog Bullet to find a killer.
