A compendium of guidelines by someone named Joseph. The purpose of the work is to guide the Jew in the right path in all his activities. His conduct during the day, at home, in the synagogue and in business is prescribed. Most of the treatise is devoted to an emphasis of the moral obligations of man, charitableness, respectfulness, etc. He is admonished against falsehood, gossip and greed. A long discussion deals with the virtues of penitence.
