This is an edited version of Thompson's original journals kept at the time of his travels. Thompson's Narrative was an expanded and rewritten version of these Journals leaving out some details. Presents brief observations on Salish and Kootenai Indians including their camp sites, character, enemies, dwellings, knowledge of Catholicism, etc.
