Ethan Craig's future looks bleak, he has been convicted of killing a man in a crooked poker game, and now sits in a jail cell. When Ameila Ash, a witness to the killing, offer Ethan a way out, he finds out that there is a catch to the offer. Amelia is soon to be married but to do so, she has to make a treacherous journey across bandit-infested country. Ethan does agree to escort her, but soon realizes that the journey is fraught with danger, not only with the raging rivers but also with Buck Lincoln's outlaw gang trailing them.
