"The Joint Protocol Relating to the Application of the Vienna Convention and the Paris Convention (the Joint Protocol) was adopted in September 1988 by the Conference on the Relationship between the Paris Convention and the Vienna Convention, which met in Vienna under the joint auspices of the IAEA and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. This publication reproduces the text of the Joint Protocol together with an explanatory text which was prepared and finalized by the International Expert Group on Nuclear liability (INLEX).
